Where are the cooking classes and courses held?
The classes/courses are held in in apartments in Venice or in Arianna own home kitchen in Mira, a little town on the Riviera del Brenta, just a few kms away from Venice Historic City. The price of the courses in Mira includes transfer from and to Venice. We will pick you up at 9 am on the day of the class from a location in Venice or fromÂ Venice Tronchetto Water bus stop (if you booked the Mira class), you can reach it with water bus line number 2, it runs every ten minutes.
Who are Arianna and Monica?
They are two good friends, who love to cook and tell people about cooking. They are not professional chefs, but expert cooks who like to teach simple home cooking. They like to teach to other people what their own mothers and grandmothers taught them.
What’s included in the courses?
The cooking class is taught in Italian and English and lasts four hours , kitchen equipment (aprons, utensils, etc.) is provided, a booklet in English with the recipes of the day is provided, Included in the price is transportation to/from Venice if the class is booked for Mira. We will stop in local stores to purchase the ingredients necessary for the lesson. All products used are local and in season. On arrival a selection of typical delicacies and local wines will be offered for tasting
What if we have allergies or intolerance to certain food?
We will be happy to organize gluten free, lactose free classes or organize a menu which does not include any food which you might not like.
Is the accomodation included in the course?
No, we are not a hotel or B&B, but if you need accomodation you can book a room fromÂ Hotel Albergo Marin in Venice, they will give you 10% if you quote discount voucher code COOKINVENICE.
Do I need to be able to be a good cook to take the courses?
Absolutely not! Just think about your own mother teaching you some simple skills and recipes that you will be able to recreate at home on your own. This is what Arianna and Monica want to achieve with their students.
How can I book?

* Cancellation more than a week in advance : deposit will be refunded
* Cancellation between a week and 48 hours prior to departure date: deposit will not be refunded
* Cancellation less than 48 hours prior to departure date and time or no-show : deposit will not be refunded
Is transport from and to my hotel included?
The price of the courses includesÂ transfer from and to Venice if you book the class in Mira. We will pick you up atÂ 9 amÂ on the day of the class fromÂ Venice Tronchetto Water bus stop, you can reach it with water bus line number 2, it runs every ten minutes.
If you book the class is booked for Venice, we will send you instructions on meeting place upon booking.
What is included in the cost of a non-cooking partecipant?
A non-cooking participant pays 70% of the course fee and it includes: transport (as describe above), the tasting and the lunch at the end of the lesson. Â
