Where are the cooking courses held?

The courses are held in Arianna own home kitchen in Mira, a little town on the Riviera del Brenta, just a few kms away from Venice Historic City. The price of the courses includes transfer from and to your hotel if you are staying on the Riviera del Brenta, a small charge of euro 10 per person applies for partecipants who are staying either in Venice City or Mestre.

Who are Arianna and Monica?

They are two good friends, who love to cook and tell people about cooking. They are not professional chefs, but expert cooks who like to teach simple home cooking. They like to teach to other people what their own mothers and grandmothers taught them.

What’s included in the courses?

The cooking class is taught in Italian and English and lasts four hours , kitchen equipment (aprons, utensils, etc.) is provided, a booklet in English with the recipes of the day is provided, Included in the price is transportation to/from your hotel (if you are staying on the Riviera del Brenta, if you are staying in Venice City or Mestre area a charge of euro 10.00 will be added to the cost per person). All products used are local and in season. On arrival a selection of local cold meats, breads and cheeses and local wines will be offered for tasting

Is the accomodation included in the course?

No, we are not a hotel or B&B, but if you need accomodation you can book a room from http://www.faronhof.com which is Monica’s own b&b in Oriago di Mira, only a couple of Kms from Arianna’s house.

Do I need to be able to be a good cook to take the courses?

Absolutely not! Just think about your own mother teaching you some simple skills and recipes that you will be able to recreate at home on your own. This si what Arianna and Monica want to achieve with their students.

How can I book?

First send your request for availability using our form on http://www.cookinvenice.com/contact-us.html we will then reply to you with our availability confirmation.  Upon receipt of your confirmation of booking we will require a deposit of euro 35.00 per person to be paid via Paypal. Details will be sent via email after we receive your booking confirmation. Please note the deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellation. The total amount for the course (minus the deposit paid) is payable by cash at the beginning of the course.

Cancellation policy

If you cancel 30 days prior to arrival date we will send back half of your deposit . If you cancel less than 30 days prior to arrival date you will unfortunately forfeit your deposit. Cancellation less than 30 days prior to arrival date 100% of the amount is forfeited. If you do not cancel but only want to change your date and notify us of this change 30 days prior to arrival date and we can change this for you without any charge assuming we have availability. We recommend that you take travel insurance to cover you in event of illnesses etc.

Is transport from and to my hotel included?

Included in the price is transport from and to your hotel (if you are staying on the Riviera del Brenta, if you are staying in Venice City or Mestre area a charge of euro 10.00 will be added to the cost per person).


What is included in the cost of a non-cooking partecipant?

A non-cooking partecipant pays 70% of the course fee and it includes: transport (as describe above), the tasting and the lunch at the end of the lesson.
