WINE & FOOD TASTING TOUR

WINE TASTING VENICE ITALY

Wine and Food Tasting in Venice – Italy

Veneto wines

Veneto wines

Wine tasting Venice Italy: A wine and food tour in Venice designed for people who are fascinated by the world of wine and want to sample the right combination of fine Italian wines and authentic Venetian food.

Enjoy an exclusive experience in the cosy and warm atmosphere of a private room of a typical Venetian Bacaro near Campo Santa Margherita.

Venice and wine

The history of wine in Venice has deep and noble roots.

Just think of the merchants of Venice who, during the Middle Ages, introduced to all the known world the wonderful “Vino de Venegia” and made it famous in just a few years.

From East to West, from Persia to Germany, the wine from the provinces of the Veneto (in those days it included also Friuli Venezia Giulia and some parts of Trentino Alto Adige and Lombardy) was tasted, appreciated and purchased on a regular basis.

The open-mindedness to trade and to new things favored also the introduction of new varieties of grapes. So the local farmers started to search and found vines which were ideal for all types of terrain and they perfected the art of blending grapes of great quality using care and attention.

Now the Veneto region is able to offer some of the best wines of Italy and the quality of its wine has been awarded by a growing demand from foreign markets. Who hasn’t heard of Amarone, Prosecco, Valpolicella, Merlot, Cabernet and many many more.

About the tasting
